Sheikh Russel observe Bangamata’s 92nd birth anniv

The former Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd observed the 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib at Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Club Complex in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka on Monday.

Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, better half of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and mother of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was born at Tungipara village in Gopalganj on this day in 1930.

Bashundhara Group Managing Director and Sheikh Russel’s Chairman Sayem Sobhan Anvir took the initiative to observe this day at Sheikh Russel KC in a befitting manner.

The day started with the quran khani, followed by a special monajat  and dua mahfil after zuhr prayer. Later, the club arranged a feeding program for around 5,000 orphans and poor people at their premises.

The club’s director in-charge Ismat Jamil Akhond Lavlu, finance director Md Fakhruddin, directors  Maksudur Rahman, Habibur Rahman Khan, Mir Md Shahabuddin Tipu, Md Abubakar, Md Asaduzzaman ACS were present there.

Also, the club’s life-time members Pijirul Alam Khan, Sheikh Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Aminul Islam, Maruf Kazi, Sheikh Abu Sohel, club officials and other distingushed personalities were present on the occassion.
