Sk Russel beat Mohammedan

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra defeated fading giants Mohammedan Sporting Club 2-1 in the Bangladesh Premier League second leg match at the Shaheed Direndranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on Saturday.

In the other day’s game, coming from two goals down, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society beat bottom-placed Azampur Football Club Uttara 3-2 at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

In Cumilla, all three goals were scored by both teams’ Nigerian forwards, as Kenneth Ikechukwu Ngwoke (51st minute) and Mfon Udoh (78th minute) scored once each for Sk Russel, while Emmanuel Chukuamaka pulled one goal back for Mohammedan in the 67th minute.

In Mymensingh, Malian forward Ulysse Diallo (31st and 55th minutes) scored a brace, while forward Samin Yasar (73rd minute) scored once for Rahmatganj.

Colombian forward Richard Maturana gave AFC Uttara the lead in the 24th minute, while another forward, Sakib Bepari, doubled the margin in the 54th minute.
